Wellness on Your Terms:  OLLY Canada’s Empowering Campaign for Women’s Health

Earlier this week, OLLY Canada proudly introduced their latest campaign, "Wellness on Your Terms," and let me tell you, it’s a breath of fresh air. This campaign is a powerful step towards empowering women to take charge of their health and challenge the taboos that often surround women’s wellness.

The campaign speaks directly to women who are often overlooked or dismissed when it comes to health concerns. With 70% of those with “medically unexplained symptoms” being women, OLLY’s campaign addresses a significant gap in how women’s health issues are perceived and managed.  This isn’t the brands first campaign directed at women’s empowerment, and it won’t be the last.  As Hanneke Willenborg, CEO of OLLY has proudly stated, “Women’s wellness is a priority to us at OLLY.”

OLLY’s wild postings around Toronto feature messages that encourage women to speak up and seek the support they need. Statements like “Period pain is your cue for care and support” and “No, you’re losing it - the mental road is real” aim to break down the barriers and stigmas surrounding women’s health.  Their approach is fostering a sense of community and empowerment among women who are tired of feeling unheard.

The campaign’s impact goes beyond just awareness. OLLY’s $25,000 donation to women’s health research solidifies their commitment to making a meaningful difference. By supporting research, they’re helping to ensure that more women’s voices are heard and their needs are addressed.

As a woman, this campaign is incredibly refreshing. It’s not just just another ad promoting a product, it’s about addressing a real need and speaking to an audience that is eager for change. OLLY’s approach is a great example of how effective marketing can also be about driving social impact and fostering genuine connections with your audience.

If you’re in Toronto, check out the “Wellness on Your Terms” wild postings at Dundas Street West and Bathurst, Queen Street West and Peter, and Church and Collier!
